Primarily papers (1932-34) of Julian H. Little relating to his guardianship of Grace Carpenter of Statesville and including correspondence about the management of the Grace Hotel in Statesville. Also includes correspondence (1946-49) with William Henry Belk, J.B. Ivey, and others concerning Little's presidency of the Independence Corporation and its operation of the Independence Building in uptown Charlotte, as well as a letter from J.B. Ivey conveying his opposition to dancing on religious grounds after an article appeared in Guideposts about Arthur Murray.
